Update on property cleanup (Helen)
  • Fire break project is almost complete; movement to make $500 donation - all in favor

Security

Update on Neighborhood Watch

Community input on security options:

  1. Individual security measures:
    1. Video camera/wildlife camera, chain across driveway, Advance home security systems, No Trespassing Sign, etc
  2. Periodic patrol (random presence) of paid security company
  3. Periodic patrol of neighbors
  • No incidents that present residents have been aware of since last meeting
  • Security appears to be less of a concern now - agree that it is up to each resident if they decide to take individual security measures
Traffic and speeding: Efforts have been made to put up signs to remind people to slow down

Community input on buying speed limit detection sign

  • Carol talked with CHP and was told that there will be a larger presence on Bennett Valley Rd as well as on the ridge
  • $3400 for sign
  • Ask that residents talk with contractors to ask them to respect the speed limit
Board votes no on buying a sign
BVFD Consolidation (Marilee)
  • LAFCO voted unanimously on consolidation of BVFD being absorbed into the Windsor fire district
  • Would mean better access to equipment, more fire fighting resources for BVFD
  • 10/16/18 will be the next meeting to see if Windsor will approve
Fire season reminder (Carol) Call 911 if any burning/fire is spotted in the neighborhood
Annadel fire fuel reduction efforts
  • The state is making money available for state park cleanup
  • Cindy Schafer - said that if property owners along the park want to pay themselves to cut grass inside the park, this will be allowed but they need to get a permit
Emergency Exit (Erik) In regards to Emergency exit routes, please be advised that the board is still obtaining information and working through details associated with possible emergency access out of our neighborhood. We will send out more info once we have more details worked out (confirmed addresses, owners’ blessings, timelines when these route(s) might be open). We thank you for your patience. We recognize the high level of importance of this issue, but it is complex and does take time. Board will need to re-evaluate the state of these emergency exits every year before fire season to see if routes need to be changed
Emergency Preparedness (Carol) John Evers of Precision Wireless of Santa Rosa will talk about radio/emergency alert systems John/Carol will arrange a test of repeater system - might cost around $900 - board votes to move forward with this
Schedule annual membership meeting in January, to include election of new board members Will arrange meeting at the Grange in January (Marilee will arrange)
PG&E ongoing tree removal
  • Erik and Kathie both have been in contact with helpful people with PG&E - if residents are having any issues/concerns you can contact either of them
  • Suggest that all residents call PG&E to ask that they put it in your file that you need to be present for them to do any assessments or work on your property
