Neighbors’ Resolution Committee
The Neighbors' Resolution Committee (NRC), a subcommittee of the Bennett Ridge Community Association (BRCA), was formed as a resource for Ridge homeowners to contact for assistance with grievances between neighbors regarding noncompliance with the Bennett Ridge Covenants and Restrictions (CC&Rs). Typically, such a situation arises when a homeowner (often inadvertently) repeatedly disregards the aesthetic covenants of the Ridge.
The primary goal of the NRC is to assist in resolving issues between/among neighbors by offering direction or advice based on our CC&Rs and past experience. The NRC may also circulate reminders in cases where noncompliance is pervasive and issues have not been resolved.
Grievance protocol is as follows:
- Homeowner contacts a member of the NRC by phone or email and explains grievance.
- NRC will first suggest the homeowner personally address the issue with the neighbor in question.
- Homeowner follows up by reporting the outcome to the NRC.
- If the outcome has not proven satisfactory, the NRC will try to help solve the issue.
- The NRC may circulate notices reminding homeowners of covenants that are, on a broad scale, being violated.
- The NRC may contact appropriate agencies when safety issues are involved.
Our intention is that this committee will become a helpful resource for neighbors to settle disputes.
Current volunteer members of the NRC are Marilyn Stocks and Lynn Olsen. Check your most recent Resident’s Directory for contact information.
